Facelift
A facelift smoothes loose skin and
tightens and lifts underlying tissues in the face and neck.
Dr. Lille employs several different facelift incisions,
depending upon the degree of sagginess of a patients skin.
If there is minimal skin sag, Dr. Lille utilizes the limited
facelift incision, avoiding a large scar behind the neck
area. He also believes that merely tightening the skin
of the face is not enough to achieve a natural, youthful
and rested look.
Performing a facelift should also include molding and
lifting of underlying facial muscle and fat. Dr. Lille
incorporates fat grafting of the cheek area to help replace
lost fat and also performs deep plane cheek lifts for
patients with excessive cheek sagginess.
An individual’s bone structure, heredity and skin
texture all play a role in how many years the clock can
be turned back, and to some extent, influence how long
a facelift will last. |
