Our patient is a 61-year-old woman who came to us with 31-year-old, 200 cc textured saline implants. She was unhappy with how her breasts looked, they were firm and misshapen. Dr. Lille determined that she had bilateral capsular contracture (thickened scar tissue surrounding the implants) and with time her skin had relaxed causing her breasts to sag.
Dr. Lille did an implant exchange using 400 MP+ silicone implants, a bilateral capsulectomy (to remove hard scar tissue) and donut mastopexy which lifts the nipple.
Switching from saline to silicone implants gave her a softer, more natural feel and look, and the capsulectomy allowed the implants to sit properly in the pocket.
She is beyond thrilled with the results!
